Application / System Engineer Summary Due to growth, Strategy Software has an immediate job opening for Application Engineer. This job is based out of Strategy Software's headquarters in downtown Mill Creek with occasional travel. As Application Engineer, the successful applicant will play an active role in the deployment of Strategy Software's web-based Competitive Information Management applications, Microsoft technology-based IntoAction® and brand new NewsRoom™. Duties - Installation and/or Installation Assistance of IntoAction® and NewsRoom™.
- First-tier Technical Support for IntoAction and NewsRoom.
- Handle questions from our clients' IT Departments regarding deployment of Strategy Software's web-based applications.
- Proof, edit & maintain Installation & Configuration guides.
- Assist with deployment of periodic Service Packs and Hot fixes as needed.
- Write and Update Application Notes as needed
- Setup and maintain demo application sites for prospective clients in coordination with the Sales Manager and staging sites for new clients in coordination with the Customer Services Manager.
- Attain & maintain Crystal Reports® Expertise
- Handle Crystal Report template customization requests.
- Other miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Job Requirements - Strong working familiarity with the following technologies
- Microsoft 2000 and 2003 Server Administration
- Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Microsoft 2000 Pro & XP Pro with Internet Explorer (typical client environment)
- IIS Administration
- ASP, ASPX, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, XML code and the T-SQL language
- Security, authentication and permissions principles relating to applications based on IIS-based web servers, Active Directory.
- MS Office core applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Outlook)
· Enjoys helping people with software technology issues, with a patient, friendly attitude. - Character traits:

- Troubleshooter
- Able to write clear and concise English documentation.

- IIS-based Web application support & troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with developing ASP and/or .NET-based web applications.
